The people voted for a majority of Republicans in both the House and Senate. What legal recourse do Democrats have if the people voted to put them in the minority, without the power to do more than use the funding bills to demand changes? Blame America’s voters.

And your Republican counterparts - the sane ones anyway- need to be approaches from that reality. These can not be “normal” negotiations. Save US, save our elections, save your own necks by holding firm. If Fetterman and republicans are willing to see you jailed, they are traitors to the country.

I sure as hell hope that @housedemocrats.bsky.social hold out for the most stringent demands because what authoritarian leader with the power to do so hasn’t arrested, jailed, and even executed opponents in order to gain full control? @democrats.org need to protect the U.S. AND their own necks!

To what end? He’s not a politician that can be voted out of office. He seems to have no shame. Did the naming of the vile Koch Brothers actually do anything to weaken the power of their monetary influence? I’m all for sh*tf***ing Peter Thiel, but to what end?
