So please when you see people asking for help via mutual aid don't be quick to label us scammers or lazy people wanting to be taken care of. Most of us if we could choose would rather not exist on mutual aid alone. So please, help us. Your help can help a person get to a better situation.

Having to ask for help constantly is hard and I implore that people who see us asking for help don't think we are being lazy or choosing to not get a job clearly don't understand what struggling feels like. I am trying to pull myself out of this hole I am stuck in.

There are others who like me are stuck living in hotels for one reason or another. I am stuck with a property owed from COVID on my credit and no landlord/leasing company will take me when they see it.

Also, Airbnb is not and will never be an option for me.

Phone bill is especially important. If I don't have funds in my account by six pm they will shut it off, it is 5:13pm right now.

I also need funds for food.
My posts have been circulating for 24 hours now - need help fast. I work damn near 40 hours a week and I'm still struggling.

First: this morning because no aid came hotel manager said I can pay in cash, but he can't keep doing this, its him risking getting in trouble so tommorow I need $210 to cover costs.

I am praying and hoping someone will help fund the past due for today + A WEEK because with a week I can save!

AirBnBs are NOT an option for most people who are homeless. They are way too overpriced, and this is the WORST suggestion you can give someone who needs shelter. I have even been asked this when trying to get my room covered. Do not ask people about AirBnB. Just don't.
