🤖 Whitebridge AI sells “reputation reports” on everyone with an online presence. These reports compile large amounts of (sometimes false) personal data, which is then sold to anyone willing to pay for it. The company doesn't have a legal basis for this.

🎉 #noyb has scored a win in its complaint proceedings against the Austrian credit information agency #KSV1870 and the energy provider #UnsereWasserkraft. 🧑‍⚖️ The Austrian #DPA has found KSV1870's fully automated credit rating to be #unlawful. ⚖️

🧑‍🏫In the next step, we will work with a professor of financial mathematics to compare the scores with the financial data of those affected in order to determine whether the #CRIF scores are statistically reliable. We will then decide whether to file a class action #lawsuit. ⚖️

The initial evaluation of over 40,000 queries with more than 28,000 scores submitted also shows that men are rated significantly lower than women. People in cities receive a lower score. 📉
