I kept thinking it was Sunday, yesterday, and that I'd have to work today!

(Christmas was the first anniversary of his death. He died in his sleep between Christmas Eve and Christmas morning.)

- I joined Facebook, and opened myself up to my past. (Walked, as they say, back over some burned bridges.) This took courage.
- Survived a year without my friend S. I never thought he'd die so young!

- I wrote a couple of songs.
- I probably got mentally healthier, or at least no worse.
- I started exercising more often, which may indirectly be why I now need PT in multiple places. (I think it was trying to do the bachata while out of practice, but who knows!)

I grew up in Ohio, too, in a small college town in the SW, a bright blue anomaly in a very red area.

To be fair, I also had them change the faucet, which I wasn't sure I could do.

But that's a HUGE amount of stuff!

This year I bought an armchair and a second-hand over-the-range microwave, and paid a handyman to install the latter.

Oh, and paid someone an astronomical sum to change the filter on my water filtering system, which I much regret paying for and not doing myself.

I don't think I was aware of "Lutheran" until I got a Lutheran roommate my second year in college. I had probably heard of them, seen their church signs, but I didn't know who they were.

I came from a small secular college town but was raised Catholic.

Thank goodness you got the correct information in time!!

But if I'm up I'll also embrace the "up" and do something useful like unload the dishwasher or take a shower.
