Just a quick reminder to everyone that new Hall Of Famer Andruw Jones ended his career with two seasons in Japan with the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles. He's the the fourth player enshrined in Cooperstown to have played in NPB after Larry Doby, Rich Gossage and Ichiro

The Tigers hired him to manage their team in 1979. He resigned 26 games into the 1980 season after a dispute about playing time between Dave Hilton and Akinobu Okada. He was then picked up by Nankai and managed the Hawks for the 1981-82 seasons
