The UPPSALA DECLARATION OF CONSCIENTIOUS OBJECTION now has 2,769 signatories. The EUROPEAN DECLARATION OF CONSCIENTIOUS OBJECTION has 4,699. The VERWEIGERUNG AUS GEWISSENSGRÜNDEN only has 434, but they take the largest personal risks. /2

Some years ago, my Canadian friend gifted me this comic book. Set in the 2110s, the story follows a group of Canadian partisans as they resist the invading US forces. When I first read the book the plot seemed ridiculous.
