🥗 🏫 Can universal school meals reduce stigma? New @npi.ucanr.edu study finds 1-in-9 students feel embarrassed eating school lunch. Universal meals were associated with reduced embarrassment for students from lower-income households but higher embarrassment for students from higher-income households.

🥛 Does low-fat or fat-free milk matter for toddlers? A new study of 2,300+ WIC toddlers found lower saturated fat intake—but no difference in weight—among kids following previous milk fat recommendations from age 2 to 3. More research on long-term health impacts is needed.

💧📉 Promoting water works! A study of 1,250 students found that increasing access to and promoting drinking water in schools reduced sugar-sweetened beverage intake and helped prevent overweight—especially for kids who drank more sugary beverages and those from Spanish-speaking households.
