We’re still an absolute skeleton crew of 14 people, competing with teams sometimes 100x as large as ours. To get to our humble team size was only possible through the less than 1% community members who donate to Mastodon, a handful larger donations, & EU grants, all of which we are forever […]

£2 million in assets but can’t afford £2,500 a year? Cut back on your avocado and toast? It’s not the government’s fault you are that financially inept. #uk #ukpol #scotland #greens

Labour fell embarrassingly short of delivering anything resembling a wealth tax but thanks to the #greens the pressure isn’t going anywhere. The only argument against it is “but they’ll leave” as if their properties are being shipped off with them.

Let every single hoarder leave, You’re so […]

Today we’ll get latest net immigration figures - They’ll show immigration for work is plummeting.

Why is this not part of the discussion on Rachel Reeves balancing her books & stalled growth?

For every 100,000 drop in net immigration, the OBR adds £7bn to the deficit. #r4today

Our conversation about immigration is framed entirely on Nigel Farage’s terms.
Labour has completely capitulated the ground to the far right, the racism & the hate.

We no longer have a conversation AT ALL about how we need immigration & when we cut it, we pay the price. #r4today

Green Party (of England & Wales) membership stood at around 68,000 when @ZackPolanski became leader & in not even 3 months, the party’s membership has increased by over 100,000 people!

That is not just a monumental shift, we are seeing the first signs of a literal restructuring of #uk politics […]

Still reeling from the Stanford report on Brexit. Reduced GDP by up to 8% and investment by as much as 18%. The UK Treasury would have £40 billion more each year if Britain had remained in the EU. Devastating self-immolation.

Britain claiming its border security is under threat after threatening the border security of practically every country to have ever existed is a dog whistle and a distraction.

Those with a fraction of your political rights are not the enemy, it’s the ones manipulating you into thinking so.

Seen that archived 1959 video on Glasgow’s Housing from the BBC on YouTube. The stigma around social housing (whether it’s schemes here or khrushyevkas that dominate ex-Soviet countries) is so silly, you just need to ask where would we be if these massive housing developments were not […]

Not to take away from Mamdani but just on standing unapologetically. This is exactly the same as Labour UK collapsing despite morphing into Reform with Greens benefiting under Polanski in being unapologetically left wing.

I’ve seen no corporate media outlet cover this: •Post 2024 polls showed that Harris campaigning with Cheney decreased enthusiasm for her by 7% •Post 2025 polls show that Mamdani running as an unapologetic progressive earned him 9% of MAGA voters who went for Trump in 2024 The lesson Corporate Dems need to learn: You don’t flip votes by compromising on your values, but by unapologetically leaning into them.

Abnegation had it right in #divergent in rejecting mirrors & vanity. Like as a species, we were only meant to catch our reflections in the odd pond or river, we are not built for all the anxieties we have invented to accompany us in this age.

Conservatives are fundamentally antisocial in that they rely on stripping the government of its funding and power in order to absolve themselves of any resonsiblities they have for our society.
