I feel like I'm having a stroke whenever I have to engage with someone and they insist on treating "who we should hate and kick out of the country" and "should these people be allowed to fuck" as issues on par with "the planet is exploding" and "people can't afford basic healthcare and retirement."

Talking to a friend and commented on how my partner's a huge nerd for loving math. He pointed out I said that while playing a complex tech mod in Minecraft, which brought up the fact I'm applying for a PhD while stitching together a TTRPG for my next campaign.
