Sunday evening Aurora visible despite the Edmonton sky glow. It was just a white streamer slightly brighter than the background to the eye but the iPhone camera easily picks up the green glow from oxygen atoms excited by particles from the sun hitting the earth’s upper atmosphere

Everyone on the planet needs to read this book NOW. I read it straight through. I’m ashamed to say on a flight to Edmonton ( I offset the carbon…but according to the author that’s not quite good enough…)
