If you are involved with LISA, UBC and other places are making a major push to hire associate or higher faculty for LISA science, i think there was a consortium-wide email about it from Jess McIver

Thank you!

Maybe theyre thinking that the starlink constellation satelites are unlikely to collide with themselves, so lowering them all will move them out of the way of other space debris thst are not part of the starlink constellation. They can control the positions of the constellation, not the other debris

Oh i see. The epicycles dont apply to the Fixed Stars (8th sphere), Primum Mobile (9th sphere), or the Empyrean; only to the planets. Makes sense! This article helped

I work in LIGO and i confirm that what LIGO detects are transverse waves, not longitudinal waves. You have no publications and are not an expert on this - please stop spreading misinformation.

Wasnt this just an example of the epicycles of the Ptolemaic geocentric model?

Surprised you didnt reference L. Krauss' book dedicated to this topic (and with the same title). Tho it does seem like you might have at least been inspired by it

Cool. Do you have a preprint on arxiv? Or is your work peer review published? And do you work in classical GR or beyond-GR? Its been known for a while that beyond-GR models can produce longitudinal gravitational waves.

Thanks for the context! As i said originally, the quote seemed out of context. Nevertheless, the translation "I cannot believe that God is a weak left-hander" does seem to associate weakness with left handedness.

Lefthanded people were burned as witches in medeival europe. The prejudice continues today. Lefthanded people arent inherently weaker.

Why are there (almost) no left-handers in China?
Surveys of Chinese students since the 1980s report that less than 1% are left-handed. This is an extraordinarily low number given the generally accept…

For left handedness, social acceptance revealed a peak in the number of left handed people in the 60s. Our society is currently undergoing a similar process with neurodiverse peoples, which is why right wing crackpots have taken aim at it

Left-handedness and the cycle of acceptance
Being left-handed wasn’t always accepted in our country. How can we compare this part of our history to other societal topics today?

Also as the bias and stigma has decreased, there have been more people reported to be left handed, which is a common trend in human societies, for example this is the case with autism spectrum disorder - the less it is socially repressed, the more the true underlying population can be accounted.

Because it is obviously a prejudicial statement about left handed people. He associated left handedness with weakness, which was and is still a common prejudice. You can easily read about this online.

That quote (perhaps out of context) from Pauli is quite unpleasant.
