I'm sure it was an oversight that the article failed to mention economists have largely downplayed the economic benefits of film tax breaks and that numerous states with similar (handout) programs have not seen a return on investment. Seems like an important thing to mention #SchoolsOverStudios

Every dollar funneled to Hollywood executives is a dollar not spent on classrooms, educator salaries, or vital student resources. This debunked policy will drive Nevada off a fiscal cliff and will drain the General Fund, forcing huge cuts or steep tax hikes. #SchoolsOverStudios

Nevada should learn from the mistakes of Michigan, Georgia, New York, Maryland, Florida, and North Carolina. Instead, the Governor and #NVLeg ignore all available data and pretend "Vegas is different" when all it will do is drain resources from essential services like education and public safety.
