I’m honored to have his support. Michael’s work reminds us that public education is more than policy, especially when laws are passed without the funding to make them real. We can and must do better for our children.

Michael Benjamin’s journey through Sacramento schools to School Board is what public education was meant to create: leaders who give back. A lifelong educator, he’s turned classrooms, barbershops, and neighborhoods into places of hope, building spaces where education meets equity and opportunity.

Honored to have the support of Monrovia Unified School Board Member Michael Ocon, a leader who turns compassion into action. From defending immigrant families to advancing educational equity and rebuilding through the Eaton Fire Collaborative, he embodies true public service.

Proud to be endorsed by Alana Mathews, CalEPA Deputy Secretary, community leader, impact attorney & equity champion. From mentoring women on parole & at-risk youth in Sacramento to leading clean energy equity, her fight for justice inspires our campaign values of climate justice, equity & fairness.

I am running for State Superintendent because I believe every child deserves a school that truly invests in them, every educator deserves respect and support, and every community deserves a future where public education thrives.

The message was clear: we need a teacher with lived classroom experience to lead and reimagine our California schools.

Thank you, San Jose! What an amazing day spent with labor leaders, workers, and educators, from the South Bay Labor Council to our community meet and greet hosted by Lisa Adhikari, Raeena Lari, Afro-UPRIS Democratic Club, and BWOPA PAC.

I’m the only Democratic public school teacher running for State Superintendent, with 30 years of experience teaching in the classroom and governing the largest community college district in the U.S., spanning nine colleges. If elected, I’ll be the first Black woman to hold this seat.

Please join me, Lisa Adhikari, Raeena Lari, Afro-UPRIS Democratic Club, and Black Women Organized for Political Action (BWOPA) PAC in San Jose for a community event on the future of California's schools.

Together, we can make sure that every child, teacher, and school has the resources to thrive.

Grateful for support of Raeena Lari, the first Pakistani-American & Muslim elected to the Santa Clara County Board of Education. As an economist & advocate for equity, she knows student wellness & justice are inseparable from learning. Together we’ll fight for schools where every child can thrive.

Sacramento, our schools don’t need more career politicians. They need us—students, teachers, and families—shaping schools together.

Join me on Thursday, Sept 25 at 6 PM at Tap Wine Lounge (1011 Del Paso Blvd) for a community meet & greet with Dr. Flo Cofer, Dr. Susan Olsen, and other local leaders.

Proud to be endorsed by Dr. Colette Harris-Mathews, an educator and equity leader who has uplifted generations of student. Her belief that education is the social justice issue of our time fuels my commitment to ensure every student has real pathways to college, career, and a brighter future.

This campaign is about teachers, students, and families shaping the future of our schools together, not career politicians imposing what they think is best. See you there!

Thank you for your service — it’s important to have women in leadership roles! I’m encouraged that we’re seeing all-time highs for women superintendents, but we still have a way to go to reach full gender parity. Our students deserve better.

Despite more women superintendents than ever, representation still lags
It may take three more decades for men and women to reach parity, according to ILO Group.

Dr. Rose Lopez has worn nearly every hat in West Covina schools: student, parent, teacher, and now on the West Covina Unified School Board. She has spent decades ensuring students have the resources to thrive.

I’m grateful for her endorsement as we build the coalition to lead California schools.
