Here mostly for Winnipeg Jets & Bombers info. Occasional science, politics and dog stuff.
I expected the Jets to regress to third in central or a wild card team, but never thought it could get this bad. Management needs a wake-up call.

And then there was none…..tied for last in points.

I like the idea. Flip Barron and Vladdy and I’d like it better.

But why isn’t he centering his own line like with 91 and 13. Maybe then 14 could play with 55 and 81? Same old tired combos from Arniel and it’s still not working.

The difference between the Jets and the Avs on display. There is no quit in the Avs. They would’ve broke that puck out in seconds and won the board battle. Never more evident than when 5’10” Girard out battled and won the puck from 6’5” Lowry.

Jets played a decent 40 minutes but unfortunately didn’t seem to realize the game started at 8 CST not 8 MST.
December 20, 2025 at 5:21 AM
Not a bad decision considering how Perfetti was playing.
December 20, 2025 at 5:14 AM
Maybe not. His dad did play here with Jets 1.0.

I think he’s exactly what this team needs more of in the bottom 6. A trade deadline deal would certainly make it worth the risk. And if Nyquist could be part of it, all the better.
December 19, 2025 at 8:29 PM
Crazy thing is he could make this team younger 😂
December 19, 2025 at 8:27 PM
At least Fleury is an upgrade on Schenn, but taking out one of their fastest forwards against one of the fastest opponents seems suboptimal.
December 19, 2025 at 7:22 PM
I’ve always thought he would be a good fit. Good speed, aggressive, young. Is Lambert too much to give up?
December 19, 2025 at 4:18 PM
Unfortunately they don’t have any high value UFAs this year, but 64, 2, 9, 7 and 62 could get a few second and third round picks if it’s a true sellers market. Maybe even someone crazy enough to pay a 3rd pick for Schenn.
December 18, 2025 at 4:55 PM
Exactly and the buy low sell high opportunity for draft picks is so obvious. I’ve wondered why a team like the Jets are not more strategic in taking advantage of it. This is definitely the year they should.
December 18, 2025 at 3:46 PM
And tonight the top 5 were horrible so nothing left.
December 18, 2025 at 3:41 AM
Maurice seemed to be guilty of the plug on D as well, but I don’t necessarily see him doing that in Florida. Which leads me to believe it’s a GM roster construction issue that the coaches are trying to make up for with suboptimal deployment.
December 17, 2025 at 9:20 PM
Does the head coach watch video? Or does the video coach take bribes? It really makes you wonder…..
December 16, 2025 at 11:00 PM
I think that’s about the best they can hope for with the current roster and spot in the standings. Chevy needs to upgrade if they want more. Ryan Strome is playing 4th line in Anaheim and would be an upgrade for the Jets at 2C.
December 16, 2025 at 4:24 PM
To pile on, Schenn added to the 1st period mess with a penalty caused by him inexplicably falling down and losing control of his stick. Also screened Helle on a shot by Mcdiarmid that only stayed out because of the post. All this in only 10 min of ice time!
December 16, 2025 at 12:03 PM
I think it’s time to move Vladdy on the wing with Toews or Lowry and move Barron in between Nino and Perfetti. Chevy obviously has no answers for 2C so Arniel needs to give it a shot.
December 16, 2025 at 3:25 AM
That could be a strong second line with a true 2C.
December 16, 2025 at 2:14 AM
So why did it take until game 30 to elevate Barron??
December 16, 2025 at 2:12 AM
Screen his goalie…
December 16, 2025 at 2:04 AM
Can’t afford rookie errors from Salo so instead we have Schenn errors with no upside.
December 16, 2025 at 1:58 AM
But Schenn is definitely also worse defensively than most give him credit for and an offense killer. Playing Stan with DeMelo might actually be a decent 3rd pairing.
