The fact that they held onto this guy, knowing what his comments were privately due to the lawsuit over the dismissal of the whistleblower, tells me they aren’t all that concerned with his comments. They are just embarrassed. It’s out in the open now. I hope Campbell’s stock takes a nose dive.

We’ve screwed up our reaction to horrible behavior for too long. If there are no real consequences for the criminality and corruption, it will continue and get worse. Watergate, the Civil War - forgiveness for the betterment of the country does not improve anything for all of us

I don’t even think their truly knowing would have stopped them from voting for him. They are, before all else, loyal to their “team” and only wish to cause harm to people not like them. Like that woman said during the first shutdown, “They’re not hurting the right people.”

I know a man who was passed over for promotion to Colonel. He said that made him a better officer, because he no longer felt the need to refrain from objecting to bad ideas on the grounds that it could hurt his career.
I’m sure he would have refused an illegal order. But self-protection is rampant
