I think that's to its advantage in some ways. It's nice not feeling like you have to play the system there like you have to on Twitter. Makes it easier to find niche work and smaller communities. But it just feels so far removed from what the average fur is experiencing online these days.

Furaffinity is an interesting case, because it's also a very content-forward platform (it's an art gallery site after all), but because it's void of any algorithms and doesn't rely on any dopamine feedback loops to keep users interested, it's kinda fallen by the wayside nowadays.

Again, this is not a place for judgement! I just wonder what folks on these apps are doing to really connect with one another, find their people, etc. When it's so unlike how I or a lot of other furs have done in the past.

I started out on Twitter, which has always had its fair share of "content." But at the end of the day it's still a very conversation focused app that makes it easy to engage with others interpersonally.

Whereas TikTok is the "scroll through fursuiters lipsyncing to popular memes" app.

So when you're trying to defend his legacy, you're fighting against the general perception of both his current moment *and* all that came before it. He's the guy who feuded with Taylor, the guy who married a Kardashian, the guy who went MAGA and Christian, the guy who made the 300 Trojans line, etc.

I feel like people have an especially hard time getting over that hump with Kanye because reflexive hatred of him has been the standard mode of engagement for non-fans for over a decade now. People have been making fun of his antics for ages, even before he went down the reactionary pipeline.
