…fiction of the time, and probably a first in Star Wars. So yeah, the Thrawn trilogy is thin and flawed compared to literary sci-fi. They work well for kids (I’ve read them with mine - he loved them). But they still have something to offer and that’s probably why they’re still deeply loved. 💙📚

What I’d say is now is a really good time for a revisit to Pratchett’s works if you haven’t for a while - the combination of deep morality and insight into human nature with sheer gleeful silliness is the distraction and reassurance we need for these times. An author much missed in the world. 💙📚
