I can't believe I was starting my job and prepping my thesis defense and my niece was born and I got in a weeks-long fight with my family and the universe saw all that and went "aw yeah time to make her kitchen ceiling fall down"

Wrote a drabble... Then I wrote a sequel because I didn't want to leave it without the ship interacting... Then I liked their dynamic so much that I wanted to write a third chapter... Is this how @sharkillicious.bsky.social feels when her oneshots turn into multichapters 🥲

seeing some discourse abt ao3 comments over on the bird app and idk it just feels like comment etiquette has really changed over the years. I guess people's views on fanfic and just "consuming media" in general have changed too, and it's all connected, but still...

Took me straight up 2 months to get over the slump and finish the problem chapters but we have finally done it! Woo! Boding well for one day eventually in the course of my natural life actually finishing this fic!
flew too close to the sun (projected some stuff in my latest fic) and now I'm plummeting to the watery depths (the conflict is projecting some stuff back) 😬
