It is good to get professional help too. Home Heath/Hospice have nurses, nursing assistants, physical therapy/OT, and social work service (to get connected to community resources, equipment) Medicare pays for these- so get some help. Will help in adapting home environment for comfort and safety.🦉

I was a home health nurse for years. For Toilets- I found that if grab bars are needed, they could usually benefit from a tall toilet as well. I like the Over the toilet elevated seat with 2 arms-pushing up is easier than pulling up & more stable. also portable, and no hardware to install.

The search after the grandfather unfolds the family’s present and past dynamics, highlighting their attempts to keep life unchanged. This drama surfaces the challenges of the sandwich generation, caregiving to an aging parent while working and taking care of their own children and grandchildren.
My novel is out!
and you should read it because it tells the story of:
📖 Filipino caregivers who fly endless hours to take care of family members, not theirs
📖 Families who have an older member they care for
📖 Old people who feel unseen and forgotten

So much stress!
Come together in your communities. Funding for services like Meals on Wheels and food Banks has been cut. can you help by volunteering in some way?
Community Food Gardens are also a good idea right now.
Anything that helps feel connected and supported in common cause is beneficial🦉
