Calling in to work because "the kittens need me to keep them warm" is a valid excuse, right?

* Work's gonna be a pain today with a bunch of people panic-buying ahead of Monday's snow.
* Work tomorrow will be dead because of said snow.

There is a free music industry meet-up at the Bottleneck in 40 minutes which also includes a performance from Jass, an artist I quite enjoy, & I have been trying REALLY hard all year to meet more people IRL.
HOWEVER ... this time of year, I just wanna hide under blankets & read.
