This exact thing happened with me in Wildstar. I'd quit a long time before but I logged in for the final hour. Toured a bit, grabbed some screenshots then retired to a peaceful little spot to 'watch the sun set'.
Saddest MMO screenshots I think I have but it means a lot to me that I was there.
