I hiked the AT, rode the Tour Divide, and paddled the Mississippi. I spend the rest of my time trying to save democracy.
Utilities and their rate structures are regulated by state law and carried out by the MPSC. There could be state law that prevents the costs from shifting onto existing ratepayers. This could be achieved by statewide ballot initiative, but it would be too late.

The contempt he shows at even the idea of vocational training... Most meaningful careers require a college degree. People should absolutely have a say in the balance of curriculum. He doesn't even respect the opinion of the other college professor that kicked this all off.

That's a pretty bad-faith reading of what she actually said. I don't even think you can call it paraphrasing, but certainly not a direct quote.

When is the next convention to vote for AG/SOS/etc? It's not on the website anywhere I could find.

Also, why isn't the Bsky social included on there?

Have you seen those suction cup cat shelves? Seems like this little guy might appreciate one.

Sure seems like there was an open parking spot for the first one.

I've known Democrats, Republicans, and non-partisan elected officials that reside outside of their districts and it really makes me mad.

Hopefully this helps "radicalize" her out of her centrist mindset. Just this year she voted to expand ICE powers. Maybe the realization that she is not in an insulated bubble will help her see the dangers posed to others by this regime.

I think part of the talk is about making them socially unacceptable, and I think them being unacceptable is a good thing.

But after they move a few hundred nanometers they scream "NO NO NO, LET'S ALL GO THE OTHER WAY NOW"*. Apparently they change their minds five dozen** times a second.

* Some groups have more resolve and continue in one direction
** Some countries have lazier ones that only do ~4 dozen.

I should add that the $25 ones are a special edition that donates $5 to an organization I support.

I started wearing another brand of wool socks in 2015 (Darn Tough) that are $25/pair. But they hold up amazingly well and are so comfortable. They also have a lifetime warranty and I've made use of it.

I've spent <$200 on socks in the last decade and I love them.

I spent a lot of time in the 90s running advanced computer simulations of this technology. Not worthwhile at all.

Legit thought this was some new kind of new ALPR nightmare until reading.

I hope the new ones are robotically placed...

The city should just straight ban ALPRs. They are already being used to track protesters and women seeking healthcare. They serve no safety purpose, and offer no protections such as warrants. They're all fed into the dystopia machine of Flock. Real criminals can evade them with 8" of duct tape.

Are you using an LED controller in your setup or just straight connected to the battery?

On some training trips I used to stay at a hotel in Germany and the breakfast buffet was straight up amazing. They had all kids of breads and sausages. They even had fresh soft pretzels!

I never went to Mexico for work, but a Canadian trip finally broke me.

Read the comment and immediately thought "field service". Bio seems to confirm, haha.

Living out of hotels gets old fast.

Just seems like we can worry about the dress code after we get good at preventing plane crashes.
