It's their grade field trip & all the other kids are going. It would be a pretty significant thing to miss out on. The content isn't supposed to be religious, and I'm going as a chaperone. I just don't like it at a church camp on principle. Even if there's 0% religion, it irritates me.

Yeah, I'm going as a chaperone. It's the teachers & parents. I'm unsure how the camp staff will be supporting on site, but the curriculum is all secular. I have more ick around giving $$ to the camp (state and personal money) than actual concern that it'll be religious content.

people were lining up outside before we got there this morning (4am!) .... we sold out of everything hello kitty/the bearistas in less than 15min !! (We were well staffed so it was fine)
