Yes, in part. But SOME of those problems are due to Covid and the toll it took on everyone. Absent inflation, Biden did pretty damn well digging us out of Trump's mess, and Clinton not having to dig would have allowed for more success.

There are infinite possibilities, but the reality is that we wouldn't be here today if Clinton had won in '16 and Hayes and others contributed to her loss.

Clinton would not have fucked up the pandemic, so any predictions about 2020 would have to keep that in mind. Also, we would not have lost the fucking supreme court under those circumstances. So yeah, the 2016 loss, spun any way, remains catastrophic and Hayes is part of what made it happen.
