We’ve gone off the rails and unlike the industrialization of other nations near and far, in India we are doing it neither quickly enough nor do we have enough pristine land or atmosphere left to dump on. The time has arrived where people of means have to save themselves first. Bitter reality. (2/2)

Any climate-positive legal precedent is a bonus, stuff like this should make it clear that YOUR money and well-being is on the line. That "climate" is not an issue for activists and political reactionaries to fight over somewhere far away on the streets or the feed. (2/2)

The author doesn’t sound convinced on the first question, and I also think it’s too simple to write off our fossil-fueled civilization as such. The second question though, is really one of the most important ones for our times. (2/2)
