The main character of the new Starfleet Academy show is basically this guy as soon as he puts on his cadet uniform.

I hope/believe that the presence of a Cheronite as a background character in SFA is an intention "F U" to the haters who miss the "subtlety" of the old political content. "Subtle, you say? You mean like the half-black/half-white guys whose planet got destroyed by racism?"

I mean he should definitely be the Republican candidate for 2028

Gestures vaguely at the TOS episode where the guy who was half black and half white absolutely hated the guy who was half white and half black.

Such a perfect episode choice too. Ham fisted, in your face, no subtlety.

I didn't realize who it was until I looked up the cast on IMDB. Her comedy has had me rolling before.

What words, in silence, beckon hungry hearts
Reach through to jaded minds with guiling arts
Then sprout within the guarded heart now sown
To stretch and bloom, become a garden grown

But I didn't get that until you said something. It just isn't as blatantly obvious as Riker believing that someone should have a gender if they want one .

The NYPD cost NYC taxpayers $155 million in overtime for subway fare enforcement this year. They say they cited or arrested 36,000 people for fare evasion, which at $2.75 a ride means $99,000 in rides. Only $1500 spent per $1 saved! What a bargain!
NYPD overtime pay in the subway went from $4 million to $155 million this year
Subway crime is down slightly. Fare evasion tickets and arrests are way up.
