I hope/believe that the presence of a Cheronite as a background character in SFA is an intention "F U" to the haters who miss the "subtlety" of the old political content. "Subtle, you say? You mean like the half-black/half-white guys whose planet got destroyed by racism?"

The NYPD cost NYC taxpayers $155 million in overtime for subway fare enforcement this year. They say they cited or arrested 36,000 people for fare evasion, which at $2.75 a ride means $99,000 in rides. Only $1500 spent per $1 saved! What a bargain!

Subway crime is down slightly. Fare evasion tickets and arrests are way up.
