Got ice? We'd appreciate your reports! Be safe wandering outside and follow this method:
1. Find a branch with ice on it
2. Measure the width of the ice + branch
3. Subtract out the width of the branch
4. Divide by 2 to get the radial ice amount!

Radar looks active right now, but not much has been reaching the ground yet. A mix of sleet/freezing rain will spread west to east this afternoon. The PennDOT traffic camera in Dubois is iced over indicating freezing rain is underway. Avoid travel if you can this afternoon!

We probably haven't spelled this out anywhere yet: If you feel you must go out to return the ill-fitting sweater that Aunt Sadie gave you, make sure you are home before 10 AM.

The latest forecast has only minor changes with it: mainly to nudge snowfall down a little (due to more sleet/dense snow), and to shift the freezing rain accumulations slightly to the W. Travel is strongly discouraged Fri afternoon & night. Sleet and freezing rain are dangerous.

A wintry mix of precipitation has begun to fall across Pennsylvania, a mixture of snow, freezing rain, and rain. While freezing rain is only expected to create a light glaze, it can still be enough to cause hazardous driving conditions. Remember, ice and snow, take it slow. #PAwx
