Mayor Adams’ misleading Ballot Proposals 2, 3, and 4 threaten these by weakening communities’ power to ensure development is accountable to our neighborhoods.

New Yorkers need more housing and this @council.nyc.gov has consistently approved it. Our communities also deserve housing that is affordable to them, good union jobs, and investments in neighborhood parks, schools, transit and other essentials.
council.nyc.gov
Today, a coalition of Council Members, labor unions and advocates stood together to call out the misleading language of Mayor Adams’ Ballot Proposals 2, 3 and 4.

These proposals would weaken communities’ power to get affordable housing, jobs, and neighborhood investments as part of development.

From @council.nyc.gov to the NY State Senate, Bill Perkins never stopped fighting for the Village of Harlem. I will always cherish the memories we shared during our time serving together.

Today’s street co-naming was a touching tribute, and a lasting reminder of his legacy of service.

President Trump is once again playing games with New Yorkers’ livelihoods & hurting our economy.

Withholding $18B from the Gateway Tunnel & 2nd Ave Subway will eliminate jobs, delay critical infrastructure, & hurt commuters who rely on safe, reliable transit every day.

Shameful.

We are again witnessing ICE attack people at 26 Federal Plaza yet again, this time hospitalizing a journalist for simply doing his job.

This is a disgraceful assault on our freedoms and more evidence that Trump’s ICE is more concerned with sowing fear and chaos than public safety.
