It's never too late for harm reduction. We might not be able to prevent reaching certain warming milestones, but every fraction of a degree we can avoid still improves the ultimate outcome. Defeatist thinking and learned helplessness only serve the villains in this story.

There are mods. It's not always online (online is optional). Basically they don't know what they're talking about. But it's not worth engaging further with someone who hates something that much. 🤷

Fair 🤣 I get that some people just really like making new characters. And, in that case, maybe DD isn't the game for them. When people use their subjective preference to argue DD is objectively bad however, I take issue. (e.g. My original reply in this thread. You engaged in productive discussion.)

The leveling stat gains are pretty minimal compared to gear stats, though your argument does hold weight pre-Bitterblack Isle where leveling stats were marginally relevant. But BBI gear stats trivialize leveling stats, and pre-BBI content is extremely forgiving making min-maxed stats overkill.
