Perhaps you don't understand - countries with free health care, free education, and free welfare also have have the highest taxes.

I couldn't care less what the "current Republican party" calls it. It's what AMERICA needs.

And I should have included social tolerance for all kinds of individually preferred lifestyles.

It is NOT 'far left', which is what Bernie and AOC and their ilk want -- govt pays for everyone's everything.

Caring about EVERY American, supporting widespread policies such as universal health care, climate protection, fair taxation based on income, infrastructure, support for allies.

We don't need or want far left.

There will be much better contenders, we aren't ready to make decisions yet. First we have to clear the orange crap out of the way.

By the time choices need to be made, there will be more people like Pritzer, Shapiro, Beshear, Whitmer, Buttigieg that we simply don't know enough about yet.

Not by my definition of "qualified". AOC is not qualified, but neither is Jeffries. Neither was Harris, I'm sad to say -- she had mediocre ideas and poor leadership.

IMHO, the person currently showing the best of ideas and leadership is Pritzker, but he's got the spotlight; there are also others.

I agree, that's why we need BOTH. Good ideas/policies AND real solid capable leadership. Leadership like Obama had, like Biden had, the ability to get things done, not just talk about them.

AOC is not even close to qualified for President. She's a great talker, good speeches, charismatic, dynamic when talking.

But she has done absolutely nothing else but talk. She has no accomplishments in 7 years in Congress, and no leadership ability ever seen. She follows and talks, that's it.
