"We are not ever going to reduce the pressure of student rentals in the lower density areas of Oakland unless we can concentrate the student rentals in places where we can build tall," she said. "We don’t solve this problem without apartment buildings."

One thing all Oakland residents understand very well: our neighborhoods can’t handle more car commuters. Making room for parking makes housing more expensive and has a big impact on our quality of life.

Beginning today, Duquesne Light Company & Pittsburgh Water will be conducting major subsurface infrastructure upgrades on Boundary Street. Construction will extend through the fall, and Boundary will be entirely closed to vehicular traffic. (1/3)

The @cityofpittsburgh.bsky.social has good news about Panther Hollow Bridge repairs: contractors are on track to complete repairs and reopen the bridge to all traffic by the end of 2025 🤞.

Construction on the Anderson Bridge is also on schedule, and should be complete by late 2026.
