Prof Muffy Calder is holding a copy of the front page of the book, The Laws of Thought, on which are founded the mathematical theories of logic and probabilities, written by George Boole in Boole is the inventor of Boolean Logic, one of the foundations of computing science. Boolean algebra is Muffy’s favourite algebra!

Looks amazing and great weather for it! Well done!! 👏 I had a similar experience on this exact one many years ago with first time so close to the top but froze on the spot in panic because of the wind and too much snow on the ridge. A week later the weather was nicer and did it!

Best hair in the room for once! 😁Had so much fun with a Van de Graaff generator earlier this week, last time was about 20 years ago in Paris at the Palais de la Decouverte. And obvs listening now on repeat my favourite songs of Van der Graaff Generator and Peter Hammill like in my Uni days 🎶
