Ser Criston Cole is a knight named to the Kingsguard by Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, as her first actual royal assignment. He later is seduced by Rhaenyra and sleeps with her, breaking his oath he swore to the Kingsguard. When she later rejects him, he despises her. He does find a purpose later.
