Posting this large drawing of my Oma and me, by my late mother, H.M. “Jette”Foss, on her birthday. Though an amazing artist, Jette was more known for her work in genetic recombination, crossover interference, & DNA methylation. She often collaborated w/Frank Stahl.

A commission I did as a composite of memories of some friends’ visit to Oaxaca, in which they took a paper maché workshop at our studio, and made the skeleton figures depicted in this piece. Acrylic on weathered, flattened corrugated tin.
