Retired now, back in UK after time away, likes walking, baking, motorcycles and warm weather. Definitely left of centre, pro EU.

Don't DM me a generic "Hi" or "Hello" and little else it makes me guess you're a bot, ditto 1/2 naked pictures.
The present incarnation of Labour is really bad at comms, at politics, basically they're dire. They'll not believe it until they're smacked in the face with consequence.

All they had to do was improve things for people, be better then the tories and advertise that they had done so .

They failed.

Durham voters now in the FO stage of FAFO.

May will be the wake up call (or not) for new new Labour.

I am suspecting we've not lost the cure for cancer.

Proper flu as opposed to a bad cold that most think it's flu is bloody debilitating. Had my jab a few weeks ago 🤞🏼 we avoid it, hope you're on the mend soon.

Did the fact I got the Spart reference damn me for all the Eyes I must have read. I dropped it while I was overseas back to subscribing but no longer keeping the back issues I ended up getting shot of years and years worth when I moved.

I was hell no before this.

Labour will reform the HoL that was another Starmerdroid porkie then?
December 11, 2025 at 1:13 PM
When you can hold your parliamentary meetings in the back of a family car why would you expect seats in the HoL.

They would require them to evolve spines.

My wife's brother is a citizen we've postponed our visit until the Pedoführer is gone. She's not pasty white and there's no way my social media would stand any scrutiny

My old Dad had vascular dementia which eventually hastened his end. At the early stages he'd be tested annually to track changes. At that time he was way more coherent than the Pedoführer is now.

I went independent last time. Almost helped get Streeting his P45. Moved a few miles so won't be able to assist next GE

My social media could not be sanitised to remove my disdain for the current administration.

I've worked and gone as a tourist to China, never had to show me devices etc. Ditto many other places.

My wife renewed her visa earlier planing we'd visit her brother a US citizen this fall. Her kids were worried & persuaded her not. She mailed him "to scared I'd end up in a US concentration camp."

We may well have reached the same conclusion ourselves. We know others making the same choice.

If Japan and Canada do likewise then it really would be showtime.

It's a choice that he's not ever been laid, just not his choice.

The BBC radio adaptation is excellent too. Both the authors have bit parts in it.

I purged a shed load when we moved overseas. Took my Pratchetts with me, had to return for family reasons 2 years ago. I've just 6 weeks or so got them back. Means I've paid to ship them ½ way around the planet twice.

Those look good I gave up long ago and sunk to the frozen ones that need 5 minutes in the oven while the roast is resting.

Having reneged on pretty well everything he stood on as leader. Then in office pursued the far right vote (that will never vote Labour) told the left to leave, Starmer shouldn't be surprised the centre is also not enamoured of his blue Labour.

Sadly about ⅓ of the electorate are not overly bright and another ⅓ stay home I wish I knew the answer to that. Some of it is of course also that the political parties have for ages been in hock to an oligarchy and foreign interests.
