Abolish ICE.
Nerdy Vermonter with POTS.
Agender, they/them, gender neutral nouns.
I absolutely love my new tunic from Verallis want to dress like this everyday. Very gender. The leggings are Dark Cottage, but you can’t really see them.
This is the masc cut because it was on sale and they were out of the curvy cut in my size.

I take that slur very seriously and have been speaking out against it for decades. It’s a serious degradation of public discourse that the president used it.

It’s so far from the most offensive thing in this post that I’m not sure it makes the top 5.

The fact that my state health department posts stuff like this really matters right now. This is an official Vermont state government account.

Oh wow, new annoying thing. I
Commented on a random post and a bot generated a dm to me telling me to follow the person on the fediverse. That’s so obnoxious.

In my town we also have an annual parade that pretty much everyone who can participates in. Flaming torches, a band. This year the person who waves the big black flag was wearing a papier-mâché frog head. No permits, no road closures. It’s our town and we just treat it as such. It’s beautiful.

My finch made it to Chicago to join the march there.

Due to chronic illness I wasn’t able to make it out to a rally today, so I dressed up my finch from the Finch productivity / mental health app to make myself feel better.

I probably should have learned to use a chainsaw before this inevitability.

Today I finally earned my New England Day Trip merit badge.

Driving up mountains in an EV is just so much fun! I didn’t even use my brakes coming down. I do with it was a little clearer, but I’ve been up here twice before on the cog railway and it was clear those days.

The dawn chorus is amazing this morning! This isn’t even the peak.

I really need to go to bed sooner.

My dog isn’t particularly bothered by either unless they go on a long time (it’s wind she hates). But she realizes she lost her chance at a walk and is pouting. As am I.

Look. We all get a one day pass on posting doom. (On our own posts, not other people’s who aren’t posting doom.) It doesn’t mean we are giving up or that we aren’t fighting if we just take a minute with our grief. Sometimes you just need to get it out in order to keep going. But here, have some moss

Beth and I. My mother took her to all her many appointments during the week and we gave her all the love we could on the weekends. She had a cat named Pouncer. I bought her that Are You Doing All You Can? t-shirt as a dig at the dehumanizing workers at the increasingly crappy group home.

For the first time ever I tried the thing on the front of cereal boxes. I bought some fresh, local strawberries like I always do. And like most years I was having trouble actually eating them because they are so extremely tart and flavorful. So I tried this. Not as amazing as whipped cream but good!

Monday evening there was a great turn out at an emergency rally to support to immigrant rights activists, one just 18, who were snatched by Border Patrol Saturday while delivering groceries to farm workers. Heartbreaking testimony from family and friends. Everyone stayed and listened for 90 minutes.
