December was crazy. The nonfiction book was "On Facism: 12 Lessons from American History" by Matthew MacWilliams. Those that have read "On Tyranny" can use critical thinking skills to link the two. "On Facisim" details twelve times the USA took a wrong turn. Brilliant and insightful read. #booksky 📚

All this talk of health insurance premiums and not one single Congressman has mentioned the elephant in the room... PHARMACEUTICALS. Even the companies themselves have said GPL-1'S have raised rates. So how about taking on big pharma first? Oh wait. Bribes #insurance

After some thought decided to adjust how I read. First book of ever month will be non-fiction. I want to read more non and this way I will. This month "On Tyranny" by Timothy Snyder. Too many good non-fiction on the TBR being ignored. #booksky 📚

While driving for errands, I was suddenly struck how well David Weber's Safehold series demonstrates power corruption. How original intentions veer off the path with too much power. And what it takes to correct those wrongs. Really need to finish those books. #booksky 📚

Life has been too hectic lately. Building a blanket fort, grabbing munchies and books, and posting a sign that reads "no" just outside the fort. I may emerge next year sometime.

Left the cat for 30 mins to go to the store. Came back to hear how he is all skin and bones and has never been loved. Apparently, the other people in the house were invisible.

Was at one of them home improvement stores today because things went wrong. One of the employees was named Santa. He looked the part. Nice guy. The holidays must be rough for him.

It is a universal truth that a cat will yell in your face at an ungodly hour to tell you that they have not been fed since the last ice age and have waisted away to nothing. The fact that they have a bowl of kitty kibble is meaningless. They are starving, and you need to know. #cats
