I think the problem is that, Tren Maya is a overbuilt tourist train, and as such, it has to turn a profit to make sense. Because let's face it, with that alignment, frequencies and prices, it's not intended to serve the local communities

We still rely on a run down 2 lane highway (Rodovia Dom Gabriel) to access the city's industrial district as well as the new residential area.
Also, having no plans for a rapid/mass transit system, so we're still rellying on a bus network built like the 70s with no dedicated lanes

That's kind of it, my city puts on the schedule the streets and estimated address the bus goes through, most places don't even have that
I can only think of 4 cities that do transit mapping, besides that you pray your system is mapped in moovit or cittamobi
