They were so welcome by me and my friends at the time. Prog rock was sooo popular. I had gone to a music festival in NYC area. A popular band t the time played 1 song for 30 minutes - with long drum, bass and keyboard solo's - the Ramones come along and the entire 1st record was about 30 minutes.

My favorite Clash record. saw them at the old Academy of Music in NYC many years ago. We _hey opened with Safe European Home. It was a great show
