Not many can say they’ve seen utopia. I have. Utopia, TX. Population 227. Founded by Swiss socialists in the beautiful hill country and lost maples of Central Texas, not far west of San Antonio, Austin, and Luckenbach. Care for some jerky and a Lone Star? Awright then. Y’all come back now, hear?

Growing up in Texas, we had SEEment in front of our theAYEters. Many one-syllable words were spoken with two syllables. Y’all come BAYuk now, you HEyah me?
When I moved to Texas from Chicagoland in the second grade, kids would say I talked funny. And they called my state of origin IlliNOISE.
