Starting the 2+ hrs travel to Nijkerk for the #breidag (knitting day), a knitting/yarn market. Good company, a good book and a new sock on the needles will make the travel pass nicely. Excited, but have zero plans on what I will/wont buy 😬

I really pushed this bobbin to its limits 😍. A bit of blauwe texelaar hand spun, 2 ply. I'm still very new to spinning, but I'm happy with my progress.

I made bread today. This uses the discard from my sourdough starter (200g discard, 400g (bread) flour, 200g water) in place of the eqv. flour and water, along with instant yeast. Love using discard this way.

Fresh baked bresd, still in the baking tin, on a kitchen bench. It is a 'volkoren' or wholemeal loaf and the left side is darker than the right. Bread dough in a baking tin, unbaked, in the final proofing stage - it has risen above the tin and domed quite well. There are three slices into the dough at a diagonal angle to help with the rise.

My one and only 'baby' knit for #ShowMeYourKnits, a present for a colleague's new born and the baby's big brother. Apparently they were a hit! Rabbit designs by Julie Williams.
