I’m a bit disappointed with this film. I’d heard great things about it and was expecting much more, especially as it’s directed by Billy Wilder:

Finally caught two classics that have sat on my watchlist forever: Metropolis (1927) and Akira (1988). Hugely influential, no doubt — but I can’t say I found either especially entertaining.
