If it walks like duck and quacks like a duck...
No one pays any attention to Truss. Eventually, her sponsors will realise this and dump her.

The UK as a whole voted for Brexit and probably regrets it. Unfortunately, the Tories were in power then. We now have a Socialist government trying to repair the damage.
December 29, 2025 at 7:08 PM
Sigh, we have a Socialist government now, thank goodness.
December 29, 2025 at 7:05 PM
Well, there's free university education in Scotland and free NHS prescriptions.
December 29, 2025 at 7:03 PM
Well, if we are lucky the EU will agree to allow the 🇬🇧 to rejoin the Customs Union, which will be good for Scotland as well.
December 29, 2025 at 6:59 PM
Well, let's now forget the Independence Referendum in 2014, where Scotland voted 55/45 to remain part of the Union.
December 28, 2025 at 7:29 PM
There are justifiable and geographical reasons for increased charges from Scottish generators. There is no conspiracy here.
December 28, 2025 at 7:15 PM
Great work, Warren, keeping everyone informed.
December 15, 2025 at 7:40 PM
Zach spouting populist nonsense again. How about some empathy for difficult economic decisions.
November 30, 2025 at 7:28 PM
Let's hope so!
November 30, 2025 at 6:36 PM
Nope, and no intention to do so.
November 21, 2025 at 6:02 PM
Yes👍
November 14, 2025 at 7:26 PM
Sorry, I have to disagee. Labour is churning out socialist bills.
November 14, 2025 at 7:24 PM
Well, just maybe Starmer has no interest in working with a self-confessed populist.
November 9, 2025 at 7:38 PM
The populism bubble will burst.
November 9, 2025 at 6:50 PM
I'd settle for bringing to justice all those who have committed crimes.
November 3, 2025 at 7:32 PM
Oh, cmon everyone knows that the rich don't pay tax. Wealth inequality is a real problem everywhere.
November 2, 2025 at 6:42 PM
Zack is a bit too populist for my liking. Which referendum will be first Scottish Indy, Nato, or Royal family?
October 31, 2025 at 7:08 PM
Yes, please keep highlighting the positives because Labour is not great at doing so.
October 27, 2025 at 7:32 PM
If it's in the Daily Mail, then, of course, it's untrue.
October 27, 2025 at 7:28 PM
Thanks Sylvia it's always better to refer to data. Apart from the Covid blip, the recent trend is increasing. So, who was in power in 2009 when spending exceeded 10%?
October 23, 2025 at 7:28 PM
Thanks for posting the welfare trend as % of GDP. But you can't exclude pensions from welfare payments since it amounts to about 50% of the overall spend.
October 23, 2025 at 6:19 PM
No, Pete, I disagree on both counts.
October 22, 2025 at 5:46 PM
Haha, maybe we are all a bit guilty of that.
October 22, 2025 at 5:06 PM
We could do with some figures here. How does UK welfare per capita compare to other developed countries?
