The Los Angeles fires one year later the failure of the array governments to protect the is still not widely acknowledged. The people most affected by this tragedy still cling to the fiction that they are unlucky and excuses by the government seem truthful. I hope they will see the need for change.

it is difficult to imagine after one year of failure of governments to protect the people of Los Angeles from the fires that destroyed Altadena and pacific palisades there is little discussion on the true causes of the inferno and prevention of future “wild fires.” And ignoring fuel buildup.

2 soldiers and 1 civilian interpreter from USA forces were killed in an attack in Syria. I am deeply saddened by the loss of our military personnel however I wonder why are the soldiers in Syria? If we continue down this path we can expect more death, ..destruction and more erosion of our benefits.
