Probably too late but for downloading and installing programs I use a really cool website called Ninite. You select what you want and it makes a single install file for you and saves so much time not having to go through the menus/permissions over and over again!

We've come so far from BV4 reflections in the microwave 🥲😂

No problem!! I love it because it's such an easy way to make a nice sturdy fabric.
And yes, please try it out! And maybe with a smaller hook too, you shouldn't be straining your poor hands 🥺

To YU single crochet:
Insert hook, have the working yarn beneath it and kind of scoop it up with the hook and pull through.
Complete stitch as normal by wrapping the yarn over the hook and pulling through both loops.
There are lots of good videos on yt if I'm making no sense 😅

They look great from the photos! My tips as a longtime crocheter:
Amigurumi is generally worked with a hook slightly smaller than the yarn recommends.
You can make more compact/tighter stitches (without the pain of tight tension) by using the yarn-under (YU) technique!
