OGL celebrates Hanukkah by shedding light on Clusterwink Snail! ✨🐌 Hailing from Australia, this snail is one of the few of its kind to exhibit bioluminescence. It uses its glow as a defense system, automatically lighting up whenever it senses predators are around. Happy Hanukkah from OGL! 🕎

OGL celebrates Hanukkah by shedding light on the Dragonfish! 🐉🐟. These creatures are one of the darkest colored species in the ocean. Females have a glowing barbel on their chins that they use to help hunt as they swim to the surface during the night.

OGL celebrates Hanukkah by shedding light on the Bomber Worm! 💥🪱. It swims along the sea floor and has eight sacs of bioluminescent fluid behind its head. When predators are about to attack it, it “bombs” the surrounding area with light and quickly makes its escape.

OGL celebrates Hanukkah by shedding light on the Hawaiian Bobtail Squid! 🏮🦑 Its glow comes from its mantle cavity that gives it enough light to help hunt in the dark. When not hunting, they bury themselves in the sand to hide from predators.
