This is basically a log of my runs, fitness stuff, and any other thoughts that wander into my mind on the daily.

First run back after recovering from injury (yay!), went reallyyy slow and carefully just to try it out and see if I’m good to start being active again.

Today was a forest run, Z2, 24 mins.
7:22 R, 8:36 W, 8:05 R

Feeling pretty good, I think I’m gonna try to incorporate more recovery runs in.

Run was about 20 mins ish, outside, mostly deliberately slow jogging.

Kind of meant for this to be a recovery run but I think it ended up being a little too fast to count it as one.

1.15 miles, beginning pace was 12:25/mile but i think the average was somewhere around 17:24/mile. (3/3)

My watch decided to pause itself halfway through my run though because apparently *someone* decided that -shaking- would be a good way to pause a watch designed for running...

You can try to take a guess how well that’s been working out for me…

So I can only guess my average pace. (2/3)

Today’s run was in a different neighbourhood than usual. Had to run an errand (ha!) so I just ended up running there and back.

Saw a couple of really cute hydrangeas? I think? as I went. Blue and purple :)

Ran pretty much the entire time except for when I stopped to take pictures. (1/3)

Today’s workout was some cardio kickboxing alongside extensive stretching. Trying to mix it up a bit to break up the monotony.

I think it’s working? It’s not bad, maybe I’ll trying swimming or ice skating next. I feel like those would be more fun.

Also here’s the view I get to look up to while I run. Trees that sprawl higher than you could even imagine.

Sometimes I like picturing how many people high they are. You know, imagining little tiny people stacked on top of each other along the trunk up to the top. But even that seems to fall short.

Amazing Z4-5 run today. I think this might be my personal best so far. Felt really good, like I was breezing past everybody.

Average pace: 9:00/mile
Best pace: 8:44/mile

Almost completely steady fast pace in the first half. Also had some hip soreness today, probably from my workout earlier.

2/2 Running in nature has actually gotta be one of my favourite types of runs.

Birds chirping, the smell of wood chips and grass, the crunching of gravel beneath my feet- and you’re telling me I still gotta go to work tomorrow?

Anyways. 20 min run. 7R, 7W, 6R.

Today’s run was a decently slow pace.

Ate a big dinner beforehand and was trying my bestest not to heave it all up so I took it easy today. Didn’t really feel tired at all.

Also I started running at my local forest park and like?? Why did no one tell me that shit’s actually magnificent?? 1/2

Today I accidentally deleted my record of the past 5 months of notes about my running journey.

And before you ask- no, it’s not recoverable. Believe me. I’ve tried.

So in light of that, I figured I’d start a new running log that I can’t accidentally fumble and delete (at least, I sure hope not).
