Lurking. Not a bot, just reclusive.
It's this mentality I can only think of as "silver bullet" rhetoric. Somehow, the perfectly-honed line will force corruption to fold under its own hypocrisy and set justice into motion. All they need is the referee to see it

*You* guys are the mechanism! If the system breaks, you're the hand crank!

Wow! I see why you took longer with the colors, and it was absolutely worth the effort! It's really well framed and dripping with atmosphere. What a fun space to linger in!

It looks SO COZY! You always pick such ambitious angles and include so many fantastic details. The lighting on the back, the shadow the bed's casting on the room, and sheer softness of the bunny are so delightful!

I need to linger on this for a while. What a treat!

But there was the "Indoctrination Theory" floating around before the remade ending, suggesting that the finale was all in Shepard's head fighting off Reaper influence. All of these boil down to an ending so inconsistent with rest of the journey, people cling to the hope that it must be a fake-out.

I think it's in parallel. To improve, you have to be willing to experience friction, failure, and sincere criticism. Fascists have *incredibly* thin skin, and fascism offers the narrative that they're already perfect and all failure is an external fault. Owning is victory without risk.

The DLC makes for a perfect capstone after you've completed the main story. It shuffles enough things around that it's deeply satisfying as endgame, but would be overwhelming if you were first starting. Just give a bit of time to click (and if things feel rough, upgrade the parts at least one tier)

Facebook has always been an online yellow pages, but there's been a hissing leak from the moment they started tampering with the feed. If I can't reliably see what I want, why would I stick around to see ads for the exact thing I just bought?

All that leaves is a messenger equivalent of a home line

Joke's on you, that game's a personal favorite and why I started following you. The prospect of a sequel has me elated! Glad that you're still making things!

Hail to the FU(c)KING!

Out of curiosity, would it be possible to put the sources in the Alt Text? (I mean, I know it's your work, but I keep looking at these cool covers and wondering what they were used for).

No pressure if it's a hassle, and honestly, I might be suggesting a poor use of Alt Text.

Hypnospace Outlaw was also March 2019 (a game about a dead internet, but same principle).

I think it's because 2019 was ~12-15 years from most of the early gaming part of the internet. The people who were teenagers and had formative experiences then are now old enough to be nostalgic developers.

I just windmill slammed my order! No waiting for second printings this year!

And you picked some of my favorites for the months! I'm so thrilled, I'm hopping like some sort of mammalian critter.

Hot buttons include "BEHOLD!", Rooster Call, and alllllll the bathroom sound effects. Plato complained about shitposting last week, and Diogenes has very particular views about what qualifies.

Hey, stop trying to counterspell my efforts!

You're a delight! Surviving is an effort and counts! We need no Valhalla, for the feast of the great and mighty is your kitchen table!

(Please be kind to yourself. You are valued for you, not what you bring. Thrilled to have you regardless of outcome)

That said, that mentality spreads to a lot of media. Many people remember their first impressions more than the full text, and there's no dialogue that can grow from that. The result is nostalgia for potential, the mute worship for iconography stripped of context. It's frustrating, to say the least.

It really does align with the park's goals in the films: expectation over authenticity. Still, it's weird on a meta level to tame a Jurassic Park game's chaos for personal comfort. It's like deciding the real problem with the Torment Nexus ride simulator was the turbulence.

HYPE! This year's calendar is still next to me and manages to brighten every day so far. I can't wait!

Yeah, it translated to me spending a coin at the totem for the no-penalty blessing every life (and once you get a feel for things, it's easy to keep coin positive).

I see the appeal on paper, and it still makes me play more carefully, but as you said, I want combat to feel tighter for those stakes.

30-minute preamble of Raids Shadow League and World of Tanks ads before suddenly wrapping up. The follow-up video with the "real" content is for his patreon supporters. There are ten patron tiers, each one insisting the real content is behind the next paywall. The final tier is just a malware link.

If it's any comfort, I saw the page and immediately bolted to your profile to find out more. Now I'm caught up and delighted to keep following!

Agreed. Identifying your own baggage is vital for criticism, editing, and healthy fandom. To oversimplify, criticism has 3 facets:

1. What was this piece trying to do?

2. What does this piece actually deliver?

3. How do I feel about 1 and 2?

Recognizing yourself and your expectations is key.

Yeah! You can claim you're only building a protocol, but it's *your* instance of the protocol! Pretending it's a demo just means you're also showing an example of what moderation should look like. People are allowed to criticize those choices, especially when you ghost questions or "waffles" them.

HYPE! I know you mentioned being worried if your cadence would come through, and you absolutely nailed the prose. You're able to tie all these scattered pieces and weave them into a cohesive experience! Excellent exploration of the vibes! This was an absolute treat!

Now that I've given my comments/views for the video (great job!), thanks so much for putting this on my radar with your early teases of this review! Fully agree on the friction and pressure being a positive. It kept me scrabbling for every advantage I could get (no hoarding for later). What a treat!
