There has to be a better material for these than plastic. The Mochamaster demands a steel filter basket... or tempered glass perhaps?
While you're at it replace the plastic carafe lid as well.

My heating/ cooling dryer and water heater all utilize heat pumps. These should all work in concert with one another and adapt based on the weather.
Waste heat from appliances or hot outside? Send it to water heater and dryer.
House needs cooling? The water heater's vented air is free AC.

My son has taken to reading Calvin and Hobbes (finally!) and was explaining to me the set of strips where Hobbes was sending anonymous insults to Calvin in the mail kidnapper style.
Calvin had no clue who was sending the letters which makes me wonder: was Calvin and Hobbes the original Fight Club?
