The United States should be working with our allies to support democracy and human rights at home and abroad.

Fred talks about his leadership style: Find and hire good people, delegate and empower them, and inspire and reward them for success. We need more rational, representative, and responsible leadership in the Senate.

Today, we recognize the first ever Veterans Suicide Awareness and Prevention Day in Ohio.

Last week, I had the honor of meeting Tim Hauser — a Iraq War veteran who fought for this day of recognition, as well as for the passage of the PACT Act. His dedication reminds us why this work matters.

This is from a Google search on the how those fired by DOGE are adapting:

May 20, 2025 — Federal workers describe struggling with panic attacks, depression, suicidal thoughts. “Why doesn't anyone care?”

I care – do you?

I AM AFRAID of the absolute dominance of the Executive Branch of our Federal Government. The Republicans as a group are in the process of destroying our Constitution and we all just sit by. JOIN ME to stand in this fight to Save Our Constitution. I cannot do this alone. OdeForOhio.com

WE NEED TO LEARN FROM HISTORY. On May 4, 1970, the Ohio National Guard OPENED FIRE ON STUDENTS at Kent State University, killing 4 and wounding 9. Our National Guardsmen signed up to help civilians, not to be pitted against fellow Ohioans based on political pretexts.

We know at the very least it is a textbook ethnic cleansing. If credible independent organizations and the United Nations are calling it “genocide” I believe we have to take that seriously. America cannot be complicit in these crimes against humanity.

I didn’t realize how rich I was until after I sold my companies and started meeting more rich people. What makes me different is I’m investing my money in causes I care about like education reform and helping candidates who will fight against our corrupt political system.

Young people should ask which party will better solve the following issues:
- Health insurance coverage
- Debt holding you back
- Help you seek out new paths in life
- Promote civility and honesty
- Looking for someone or something to hate
Long-term unemployment at post-pandemic high, straining workers and economy
The U.S. economy is seeing a rise in long-term unemployment, with more than 1.9 million Americans out of work for 27 weeks or more, sparking concerns about the labor market.

With everything that's happening, politicians should spend less time trying to assign blame and more time trying to solve problems. That's why for every decision, I'm committed to asking:
✅ Is it RATIONAL?
✅ Is it REPRESENTATIVE of the People?
✅ Is it the RESPONSIBLE thing to do?

The ROBOTS are coming! In an effort to "improve" Medicare, our government in all its wisdom is turning the job over to AI. It is critical to understand that AI platforms designed by humans are EASILY manipulated by these very same humans. I prefer to speak directly with my doctor.
Your doctor says you need pain treatment, but Medicare’s AI might disagree
Ohio seniors could face new hurdles to accessing care as Medicare tests a controversial approval system that puts algorithms between patients and physicians.

Fair redistricting is about doing what's right. The good of the country apparently no longer matters to some Republicans. They have lost their moral compass and are forcefully taking control. We can not allow them to keep bending and breaking the rules.
From ‘Do everything I can’ to ‘Yeah, I don’t know’: DeWine retreats on redistricting reform promise
Gov. Mike DeWine vowed last year to push through an Iowa-based redistricting reform measure. Now, he just hopes lawmakers will eventually look at the idea.

I agree with the Governor of Utah. Gov. Spencer Cox is right to warn against the dangerous possibility of retaliatory violence. Foreign countries are trying to exploit this tragedy to further divide us. Americans must focus on our shared humanity.
Gov. Spencer Cox: "There is a tremendous amount of disinformation…Our adversaries want violence. We have bots from Russia, China, all over the world that are trying to instill disinformation and encourage violence. I would encourage you to ignore those."

Irresponsible politicians set the stage for the normalization of violence. It's a shame when you have to consider you may be risking your life when you exercise your First Amendment rights or run for office or go to school. We cannot accept gun violence as normal. Congress: Find your moral compass.

We need to help students understand how the skills they learn in school will help them in the workforce and in the real world. More than just teaching to the test, we need to teach to the test of life.
US high school students lose ground in math and reading, continuing yearslong decline
A decade-long slide in high school students’ performance in reading and math persisted during the COVID-19 pandemic, with 12th graders’ scores dropping to their lowest level in more than 20 years.

I’ve lived a working person's life. Paper route as a kid. Worked my way through school. Three union jobs — including at the steel mills and as a teacher. Worked the oil fields of Texas while driving across the country and sleeping in my car. I’m for working people because I am one.

Instead of focusing on tighter border security or actual criminals, Congress is letting Trump get away with abuses of power. Legal residents and U.S. citizens are being torn from their families and disappeared without due process. We need humane comprehensive immigration reform.

I may have started as a "lesser-known" candidate because I didn't see a need to get involved in politics until our government entered a full-blown crisis this year, but my platform is resonating with Ohioans who want a fighter for common sense.
